Steven Hughes has finished top of the 2021/22 EPSB Regional Junior Billiards Tour rankings following the completion of the circuit’s four events.
Created this season to provide competitive English Billiards opportunities for junior players, the tour was split into north and south regions with the Maltings Q Club in King’s Lynn and Chandlers Ford Snooker Club venues hosting the respective events.
Hughes ended the inaugural campaign with 285 points to come first on the combined national ranking list, just ahead of Alec Chalmers (275 – pictured below, left) in second and Finley Brown (260 – pictured below, right) in third.
The 20-year-old won both of this season’s events in his home town on the south coast, defeating William Thomson in the final of October’s event and O’Shay Scott in the March final.
The titles were shared in King’s Lynn with Chalmers defeating Brown in the event one final, although Brown turned the tables by getting the better of Chalmers in the final of the rescheduled event two.
The EPSB would like to thank everyone who participated and supported running these events.
