The 102nd English Amateur Snooker Championship will begin this Saturday with regional qualifying events in Leeds (North), Derby (Midlands) and Coulsdon, London (South).
A total of 144 players have entered this season’s Championship. As per the pro-rata system relevant to the number of entries for each region, 7 players from the North, 4 players from the Midlands, and 5 players from the South will qualify for the Last 16 Finals Weekend taking place on the 1st and 2nd April 2023 at Landywood Snooker Club in Walsall.

There is a very vibrant mix of players on show – juniors, seniors, established amateurs, former professionals and current national champions.
Reigning English Amateur Snooker Champion Jamie Curtis-Barrett will be aiming to become the first player to successfully defend the title since Terry Griffiths did so in 1978.
Former champions Anthony Harris, Leo Fernandez, Jamie Bodle and Billy Castle have also entered, as have several former finalists.
