The 2025 English Under-18 Championship takes place this weekend (1-2 March) at the Barratts Snooker Club in Northampton.

The English Under-18 Championship, won last year by Daniel Boyes, is the national snooker championship for players aged under 18 and features a prestigious roll of honour that includes Judd Trump, Gary Wilson and Tom Ford.

A field of 43 players will compete for the title including defending champion Boyes and last year’s runner-up O’Shay Scott.

VENUE

This year’s English Under-18 Championship will be hosted by the Barratts Snooker Club in Northampton. The address for the venue can be found below:

FORMAT

The championship is groups, followed by knockout. The format is as follows:

  • Group stage matches will be the best of 5 frames
  • KO matches up to and including the semi-finals will be the best of 7 frames
  • The final will be the best of 9 frames

It is planned that the last 16 onwards will contest the Sunday. 

The draw and schedule will be released on the day and, once available, can be found on WPSBA SnookerScores website. There is a link at the top of the article to where these will be located.

Please ensure you arrive at the venue at 9:15am on the Saturday. Only players present at the club at this time will be entered into the group stage draw.

PRIZE FUND

The prize fund for 2025 is as follows:

  • Winner: £250 
  • Runner-Up: £125
  • Semi-Finalists: £62.50
