The 2025 English Seniors Championship takes place this weekend (1-2 March) at the Landywood Snooker Club in Walsall.

The English Seniors Championship, won last year by Nigel Bond, is the national snooker championship for players aged players aged over-40.

A field of 64 players will compete for the title including former event winners Lee Stephens, Wayne Brown, Nick Pearce and John Welsh.

VENUE

This year’s English Seniors Championship will be hosted by the Landywood Snooker Club in Walsall. The address for the venue can be found below:

FORMAT

The championship is groups, followed by knockout. The format is as follows:

  • Group stage matches will be the best of 3 frames
  • KO matches up to and including the quarter-finals will be the best of 5 frames
  • The semi-finals and final will be the best of 7 frames

The draw and schedule will be released on the day and, once available, can be found on WPSBA SnookerScores website. There is a link at the top of the article to where these will be located.

Please ensure you arrive at the venue at 9:15am on the Saturday. Only players present at the club at this time will be entered into the group stage draw.

PRIZE FUND

The prize fund for 2025 is as follows:

  • Winner: £700
  • Runner-Up: £350
  • Semi-Finalists: £175
  • Quarter-Finalists: £100
