The EPSB is delighted to report that over 147 applications have been received from people across England interested in joining our team of national referees under our new training and qualification structure.
Less than two weeks ago, we announced the introduction of our all-new Class 3 course – aimed at prospective new referees looking to start their refereeing journey – alongside a bridging course for existing officials looking to retain their current qualification and level.
Both courses form part of a wider restructure of the training and qualification programme for English snooker officials, with the goal of providing a pathway for every referee to reach their true potential. This will be achieved not only by the introduction of the most comprehensive Class 3 course seen in this country to date, but also an unprecedented level of ongoing support from some of the most recognised officials in our sport, to be offered to our qualified and active EPSB referees.
