Due to the welcome number of entries the EPSB has received for its opening two Seniors Tour events of the 2021/22 season in Hull – and despite bringing the entry deadline date forward a week – the EPSB has made the difficult decision to alter the originally advertised format.
Because of the logistics involved such as time and facilities available, all six of this season’s EPSB Seniors Tour events will now be straight knockout with no seeding (open draw).
Events will now start slightly earlier at 9am with all matches up to and including the quarter-finals being the best of 5 frames, with the semi-finals and final being the best of 7 frames. It is planned that start times for events will be staggered (these will be published beforehand).
The prize money payout for all Seniors Tour events this year will now be:
The draws and schedule for Seniors Tour events will be made and published a few days before the event commences. These will be visible to all on snookerscores.net.
The EPSB hopes that all members and entrants understand why this decision has been made to alter the playing format. However, if you are unhappy and would like to withdraw from the competition(s), you can do so and receive a full refund.
If this is the case, please contact the EPSB on players@epsb.co.uk or via social media on Facebook or Twitter. In order to receive a refund, please let us know by midday on September 6th, as the draw is due to take place shortly after this point.
