Following our previous update (23/2) with regards to the status of EPSB competitions we can today provide a further update as to our strategy over the upcoming months.
As we have stated previously, our first priority is to be able to complete the outstanding 2019/20 national competitions this summer as soon as it is safe and possible to do so.
It is our intention that should the relaxation of restrictions in England continue to move in the right direction and that ‘Stage Two’ of the lifting of restrictions on 12 April proceed as planned, we will be able to announce the provisional dates of our outstanding 2019/20 competitions at or around this time.
Beyond those events, we are of course also working on a full provisional calendar of events for the 2021/22 season. As you will appreciate, the current world situation remains extremely uncertain and subject to change, therefore we will not be in a position to publish dates and venues for next season until we are further along the government’s roadmap out of lockdown.
It is at this point that we believe that the longer-term outlook for how our events can operate will become clearer and we can take better informed decisions as to the structure of our competitions and calendar.
Rest assured, however, that we are continuing to work behind the scenes to bring competitions back as soon as it is possible to do so and will let you know of any further developments when we can.
In the meantime, we hope that you are staying safe and well and look forward to seeing you all back on the baize soon.
EPSB Team.
