The second event of the new English Amateur Tour season takes place this weekend at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.
A total of 89 cueists will compete in the two-day event, which is the second of five tournaments that make up England’s flagship national amateur tour. Included in the line-up are Liam Highfield, who won the first event of the season last month, and the top ranked player in last season’s English Amateur Tour – Steven Hallworth.

Each English Amateur Tour event is a straight knockout with matches being the best of seven frames throughout.
Play will begin at 09:30 on Saturday, with the last 16 stage onwards taking place on Sunday. The champion will be crowned on Sunday afternoon with the title match scheduled to get underway at 17:00.
