The first qualifier for the 2025 English League Snooker Championship takes place this weekend (12-13 April) at the Landywood Snooker Club in Walsall.

The national championship for league snooker was won last year by Whitchurch Legends and is being staged for the second time with 47 players across seven teams competing this weekend for three guaranteed places in June’s final weekend.

Among the line-up is former English Amateur champion Paul Deaville and last year’s English Amateur Championship runner-up Callum Downing, who both represent SWMBSA ‘B’, and reigning English Over-55’s champion Nick Pearce – who will play for Gloucester.
