The English Under-16 Championship takes place at the Q Bar in Walsall this weekend (20-21 April).
An incredible field of 60 players, which is more than double last year’s entry number, will head to the Q Bar in Walsall this weekend to compete for the English Under-16 Championship title.
The event was last held in 2022, when it was won by current World Snooker Tour professional Stan Moody. Among those looking to follow in the footsteps of Moody this year are European Under-16 champion Vladislav Gradinari, recent English Under-14 champion Nicholas Ayers and O’Shay Scott – who will be looking to go one step further after a run to last weekend’s English Under-18 Championship final.
This year’s English Under-16 Championship will be held at the Q Bar in Walsall. The full address for the venue can be found below:
The 60 players will compete across 15 groups on the opening day, with the top two from each group advancing. Due to an exceptional number of entries, the first knockout round will be played on the Saturday. The last 16 stage onwards will then take place on Sunday.
