The English Under-18 Championship takes place at Barratts Snooker Club in Northampton this weekend (13-14 April).
Won last year by current World Snooker Tour professional Liam Pullen, a total of 27 cueists aged 17 and under will embark on the venue in Northamptonshire aiming to join a prestigious roll of honour that also includes former World champion Judd Trump and multiple ranking event winner Gary Wilson.
Among the strong line-up this year are European Under-16 champion Vladislav Gradinari, last year’s English Under-14 champion Shaun Liu and 11-year-old William Thomson, who was the runner-up in the English Under-14 Championship earlier this month.

The championship is groups, followed by knockout. The format is as follows:
It is planned that the knockout rounds will be contested on Sunday, with the final scheduled for late afternoon.
