The English Under-21 Championship takes place at the The Winchester Club in Leicester this weekend (27-28 April).
A strong field of 34 cueists head to Leicestershire aiming to follow in the footsteps of reigning champion Ryan Davies, who defeated Lewis Ullah in last year’s final to win the title.
Among those in the line-up are Daniel Boyes and Vladislav Gradinari, who have recently won the English Under-18 and Under-16 titles respectively, as well as O’Shay Scott – who finished as runner-up in both events.
Former English Amateur champion Paul Deaville will also arrive as one of the favourites, as will English Junior Tour winner Oliver Sykes – who won four out of the five tour events during this campaign.

The championship is groups, followed by knockout. The top two from each group will advance to the last 16. The format is as follows:
It is planned that the knockout stages will contest the Sunday, with the final scheduled for late afternoon.
