The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB) held its latest Annual General Meeting online yesterday (Thursday 19 December).
The position of Svetlana Parmar (Non-Executive Director) was subject to formal ratification at the meeting. Prior to this process, Parmar notified the meeting of her intention to step down from her position on the Board due to additional personal commitments outside of the EPSB and would therefore not seek ratification of her position.
The latest EPSB accounts were also unanimously approved during the meeting.
Nigel Mawer QPM, EPSB Chairman said: “Following this year’s AGM I would like to recognise the continued support of the EPSB membership, and the continued hard work carried out by the Board of Directors and the Operations Team.
“It has been another extremely encouraging year for the growth of amateur snooker, which has seen major increases to both tournament entry numbers and overall prize money on offer to our players.
“In addition to our established competitions, we have also seen the successful creation of new initiatives including the EPSB Junior Elite Performance Programme and the English League Championship, underlining our ambition to provide additional support and opportunities outside of our traditional events structure.
“I would also like to thank Svetlana Parmar for her valued contribution to the Board since her appointment in January 2021. The EPSB has undergone a significant restructure during the past four years, and she has played an important role through this period. I wish her all the best for the future.”
Svetlana Parmar said: “I would like to thank everyone at the EPSB for their support during the past four years. It has been a fantastic learning curve to be part of the EPSB Board and I am proud to have played a part in the growth of the organisation during this period. I am sure that snooker in England will continue to thrive and look forward to following the progress of the EPSB over the coming years.”
