Home » Rebecca Kenna Wins First English Women’s Tour Event

Rebecca Kenna defeated Ellise Scott 2-0 in the final of the first event of the new English Women’s Tour at The Winchester Snooker Club.

Kenna, who lifted the English Women’s Championship title last season, won all ten frames that she contested through the event as she took an early lead in the English Women’s Tour ranking list.

Backed by The Winchester Snooker Club owner Mukesh Parmar, former world champion Shaun Murphy and new sponsor for 2024/25 Oadby Self-Storage, the English Women’s Tour consists of eight monthly tournaments throughout the season with the top twelve ranked players at the conclusion of the series qualifying for the 2025 English Women’s Snooker Championship.

The World Women’s Snooker number four was in dominant form as she topped her initial group with whitewash victories over Sarah Dunn, Louise Jordan and fellow eventual finalist Scott.

In the semi-finals, she faced recent Home Internationals winner Daisy May Oliver against whom she secured a fourth 2-0 victory of the day to book her place in the title match.

Thirteen-year-old Scott, who booked her place in a first ever EPSB final by defeating Chloe Payne 2-0 in the last four, was Kenna’s final opponent as the two met for the second time in the event.

Kenna was once again too strong as breaks of 32 and 50 completed the final victory and saw her take the title.

The next English Women’s Tour event will take place at The Winchester Snooker Club on Sunday 22 September and entries remain open until Friday 13 September at 12:00.
