Rick Connolly Chartered Financial Planning to Sponsor Over-55 Championship

The EPSB is delighted to now announce the dates, venue and format for this season’s Rick Connolly Chartered Financial Planning English Over-55 Snooker Championship. 

Won earlier this year by John Welsh, the national championship will return to the EPSB calendar with Rick Connolly Chartered Financial Planning as the title sponsor.

This season will see a format change to the event, with the Championship being played and completed in one weekend on the 25th and 26th March, 2023 at Club 147 in Leicester. 

The opening phase of the tournament on the Saturday will be a groups phase, with those qualifying making it through to Sunday’s knockout rounds.  

The size of the groups, number of qualifiers and match lengths will be determined after the entries have closed, but the round robin format gives all players the opportunity to play several matches. 

Entries for the event open on Monday 7th November 2022 at 9am and will close on Friday 17th March 2023 at 12:00 midday. 

Due to the generosity of the new sponsor, the EPSB is happy to state that the prize fund has increased from last season.
